Iowa Strengthens Agricultural Partnerships with India Despite US-India Trade Tensions

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig highlighted the significance of "open dialogue" amidst growing trade tensions between the United States and India.

While Washington recently imposed 50 percent tariffs on major Indian exports, Iowa is actively working to strengthen its agricultural and technological partnerships with New Delhi. Naig, who led a state delegation on an agricultural trade mission to India in September, emphasized the importance of fostering "open dialogue" and creating "lasting economic opportunities" through collaborative efforts.
