Peter Navarro Slams Elon Musk, Calls X A "Grooming Academy Of Dark Forces"
Former Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro has launched a scathing critique of Elon Musk, urging the billionaire to address what he describes as serious issues on his social media platform X.
Navarro characterized X as a "cesspool" and a "breeding ground for very dark forces" following controversial content on the platform, including violent rhetoric from a Los Angeles educator who publicly advocated for violence against "far-right" individuals.
In response to the teacher's threatening post, Musk tweeted, "We must fight back or be murdered."

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) September 14, 2025Navarro directly challenged Musk's approach, stating: "My friend Elon Musk. How about you start fighting back by cleaning up the cesspool otherwise known as X. No more anonymous posts. No more foreigners swarming your platform and polluting our political discourse. X has become a breeding ground and grooming academy for the very dark forces. You wanna fight back. Physician, heal itself. Elon, heal X."

— Peter Navarro (@RealPNavarro) September 15, 2025The exchange comes amid heightened tensions following the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Musk condemned those celebrating the violence online, describing them as "evil" and warning that unchecked threats could escalate. In response to a post calling for Kirk's death, Musk warned, "Either we fight back or they will kill us."

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) September 13, 2025This isn't the first clash between Navarro and Musk. Recently, Navarro expressed frustration with X's fact-checking system after his post about India allegedly profiting from Russian oil imports was flagged as inaccurate. The platform noted that India's purchases were made for energy security purposes and didn't violate international sanctions.
Navarro dismissed the correction as "crap" and accused Musk of enabling propaganda on X. Musk defended the platform's Community Notes feature, explaining that it applies to all posts without exception and operates transparently with open-source code and data, supported by verification from AI tool Grok.
Earlier conflicts between the two included Navarro criticizing Musk's position on tariffs, suggesting the tech entrepreneur was primarily concerned with his business interests. Musk responded harshly, calling Navarro a "moron" and "dumber than a sack of bricks."
