US President Donald Trump declared on Tuesday that failing to receive the Nobel Peace Prize would constitute an "insult" to the United States, given his claimed contributions to resolving various conflicts.

During a meeting with senior US military officials, Trump expressed his frustration about the Nobel selection process, stating, "Will you get the Nobel Prize? Absolutely not. They'll give it to some guy that didn't do a damn thing."

The President emphasized the perceived slight, adding, "It'd be a big insult to our country" if his efforts were not recognized with the prestigious award.
