Iranian President Claims Trump Administration Lacked Sincerity in Nuclear Negotiations

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has criticized the Trump administration for its perceived insincerity in nuclear negotiations, highlighting a significant "wall of mistrust" between the two nations. Speaking to reporters at the UN General Assembly, Pezeshkian noted that despite reaching multiple understandings, the United States never took these diplomatic efforts seriously, particularly in talks preceding an Israeli military strike.

Iran Says US Was Never Serious On Nuclear Talks

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed on Friday that the Trump administration has demonstrated a lack of sincerity in nuclear negotiations, including discussions that occurred prior to an Israeli military action.

"The wall of mistrust between us and the Americans is quite high. We came to understandings a number of times but they were never taken seriously by the Americans," Pezeshkian stated while speaking to reporters during the UN General Assembly events.

The Iranian leader emphasized that despite reaching agreements on multiple occasions, the United States failed to demonstrate genuine commitment to the diplomatic process, further deepening the distrust between the two nations.
