Meta Launches 'Vibes': A New Platform for Creating and Sharing AI-Generated Videos

Meta Platforms has unveiled Vibes, a novel feed dedicated to AI-generated videos, reflecting the company's accelerated focus on artificial intelligence technology development.

Vibes offers a platform where users can create and share short-form videos powered by AI. The service will become available on the Meta AI application and through the meta.ai website beginning Thursday.

The platform provides users with multiple creative options. They can generate videos completely from scratch, enhance existing content, or remix videos from the feed. Additional features include the ability to incorporate new visual elements and add music layers.

Once created, users can upload their content directly to the Vibes feed or choose to cross-post to Instagram and Facebook stories and reels, enabling seamless integration across Meta's ecosystem.

Meta, which reported nearly $165 billion in revenue last year, underwent a significant reorganization of its AI initiatives in June. The company established a division called Superintelligence Labs following challenges with its open-source Llama 4 model and departures of key personnel.

The company is strategically positioning this division to generate new revenue streams through the Meta AI app, image-to-video advertising tools, and smart glasses technology.
