Dallas:

A shooting incident on Wednesday at a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in Dallas resulted in one fatality and two individuals wounded, according to police reports.

The Dallas police department confirmed in a post on X that the suspected shooter, who fired from an adjacent building, is deceased.

"On September 24, 2025, at approximately 6:40 a.m., Dallas Police responded to an assist officer call in the 8100 block of north Stemmons Freeway. Preliminary investigation determined that a suspect opened fire at a government building from a neighboring structure. Two individuals were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect is deceased. This remains an ongoing investigation, and we will hold a media briefing later today," stated the Dallas police department.
