Deadly School Attack in Russia: 15-Year-Old Stabs 10-Year-Old Child to Death and Injures Security Guard

A 15-year-old has been detained after a deadly knife attack at a school in Russia, where he fatally stabbed a 10-year-old child and wounded a security guard.

The incident occurred on Tuesday in Gorki-2, a village located west of Moscow in the Odintsovo district. The teenage assailant, identified as Timothy K, is now in custody as investigators work to establish the motive behind this violent attack.

According to Russia's Investigative Committee, the country's main investigative body, the teenager's motive is currently under investigation.

Disturbing bodycam footage of the attack has spread across social media platforms. In the video, the perpetrator is seen first questioning a teacher about her nationality. When he noticed 32-year-old security guard Dmitry Pavlov approaching him, the teenager said, "Dima, get the f*** out of here."

When the guard continued to approach, the teenager pepper sprayed him before stabbing him in the back. Wearing a mask and helmet, the attacker then pursued a 10-year-old boy through the building and killed him. Reports indicate he even took a selfie with the victim's body afterward.

The footage shows terrified children and teachers barricading themselves in classrooms to escape the attacker.

Following the incident, armed SWAT officers stormed the school. Reports suggest the teenager was wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with "No Lives Matter," a slogan associated with a far-right, nihilistic group that advocates for terrorism, violence, and human extinction.

While armed attacks were once uncommon in Russia, they have become increasingly frequent in recent years. Last year, a teenage student injured four people with a hammer in Chelyabinsk, a southern Russian city. In December 2023, a 14-year-old girl conducted a shooting at a school in Bryansk, killing a classmate before taking her own life.
