Approximately 15 flights have been rerouted to alternative airports, according to aviation authorities.

Copenhagen:

Operations at Copenhagen airport were suspended on Monday following the detection of unidentified drones in the vicinity, resulting in approximately 15 flights being diverted to other locations, officials confirmed to AFP.

"The airspace surrounding Copenhagen airport has been closed since 8:30 pm (1830 GMT) due to the presence of two to three unidentified drones. All aircraft takeoffs and landings have been prohibited," stated airport representative Lise Agerley Kurstein.

She confirmed that roughly 15 flights had been redirected to alternative airports.

Copenhagen police reported observing "three or four large drones" flying above the airport premises.

"They continue to move back and forth, appearing and disappearing," duty officer Anette Ostenfeldt informed AFP at 10:45 pm (2045 GMT), adding that police were conducting an investigation at the scene.

She was unable to determine whether the drones were military or civilian in nature.

"However, they are substantially larger than what would be available to private individuals," Ostenfeldt noted.

Airport officials indicated that operations would remain suspended until the situation was resolved.

"At present, we do not have an estimated time for resumption of services," Kurstein stated.
