British Adult Film Star Bonnie Blue Faces Deportation from Bali After Minor Traffic Fine

British adult film star Bonnie Blue is being deported from Bali following a police raid and a $12 traffic fine. Despite authorities finding no evidence of pornographic content production, which is strictly prohibited in Indonesia, the controversy highlights ongoing tensions between foreign visitors and local customs in the popular tourist destination.

British adult film performer Bonnie Blue is set to be deported from Indonesia's Bali island, according to an immigration official on Friday, following her receipt of a minor fine for traffic violations.

Last week, local authorities conducted a raid on a studio in Badung, a tourist hotspot near Denpasar, the island's capital, where they detained Blue, 26, whose legal name is Tia Billinger.

The raid also resulted in the detention of three men - two British nationals and one Australian - on suspicion of creating pornographic content.

However, authorities confirmed they found no evidence of adult material during their investigation.

Husnan Handano, immigration spokesperson at Denpasar International Airport, informed AFP that Blue would be deported early Saturday morning.

"Her departure is scheduled for 12:30 am (Friday 1630 GMT)," Husnan said, indicating additional information would follow later.

Earlier on Friday, Billinger and her associate, 27-year-old Liam Andrew Jackson, received fines of 200,000 rupiah (approximately $12) for traffic regulation infractions.

"The defendants have lawfully committed the offence jointly and continuously," stated Denpasar District Court judge I Ketut Somanasa.

During the December 4 operation, authorities confiscated a dark blue pickup truck labeled "Bang Bus."

British tabloid Daily Mail reported Wednesday that the vehicle apparently had been untaxed since 2023 and had reportedly been illegally repainted from white to blue without proper re-registration.

Billinger's attorney, Edward Pangkahila, told AFP his clients would fully cooperate with authorities.

"I advised them to apologize to the people of Bali if this situation has caused any public discomfort," Pangkahila added.

Despite Bali being predominantly Hindu and attracting millions of international visitors, Indonesia, as a Muslim-majority country, strictly prohibits pornographic content production, which carries penalties up to 12 years imprisonment and fines of $360,000.

Billinger gained notoriety through her provocative activities as an adult content creator.

Her case emerges amid growing complaints from Balinese officials regarding disruptive foreign tourists, following numerous deportations in recent years - including several Russian influencers expelled for nude photographs at sacred locations.
