New Delhi:

On Friday, a woman and her two sons were discovered deceased in their residence in southeast Delhi, with police investigators suspecting suicide as the cause, an official confirmed.

DCP (Southeast) Hemant Tiwari stated that the tragic discovery occurred at 2:47 pm when law enforcement arrived at the property to execute a court-ordered possession mandate.

"After multiple unanswered knocks on the door, police utilized a duplicate key to access the residence. Inside, they discovered Anuradha Kapoor (52) along with her sons Ashish Kapoor (32) and Chaitanya Kapoor (27) hanging from the ceiling," the officer reported in an official statement.

Investigators recovered a note from the scene indicating that the family had been experiencing depression.

"The handwritten message reveals emotional distress experienced by the family, which may have driven them to take this extreme action," explained the DCP.

Police transferred the bodies to the AIIMS mortuary for post-mortem examination and completion of other legal requirements.

Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, including examining the family's financial situation and social connections, the officer added.
