On Tuesday, the Israeli military announced it conducted strikes against Hezbollah infrastructure across multiple locations in southern Lebanon.
According to the military statement, the operation targeted a training compound utilized by Hezbollah's Radwan forces, along with several military structures and a launch site operated by the organization.
These military actions occurred less than a week after both Israel and Lebanon dispatched civilian representatives to a military committee overseeing their ceasefire agreement. This development represents progress toward fulfilling a months-old request from the United States for the two nations to expand discussions in alignment with President Donald Trump's Middle East peace initiatives.
In 2024, Israel and Lebanon agreed to a US-mediated ceasefire that ended over a year of conflict between Israeli forces and Hezbollah. Since the agreement took effect, both sides have repeatedly accused each other of violating its terms.
Lebanon's state news agency NNA confirmed that Israeli warplanes executed multiple airstrikes on various locations throughout southern Lebanon.
