Video: Trump, Standing Next To Charlie Kirk's Widow, 'Dances' At Memorial

As many Americans mourned the death of Charlie Kirk, US President Donald Trump broke into a "dance" at a rightwing activist's memorial ceremony, making his grieving widow Erika Kirk smile.

In the footage, Erika Kirk can be observed smiling through her tears.

Washington:

While many Americans were grieving the loss of Charlie Kirk, US President Donald Trump was captured performing a "dance" during the memorial ceremony of the rightwing activist, bringing a smile to his widow Erika Kirk's face. Trump and his followers gathered at the memorial service for the 31-year-old Kirk at Arizona's State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Sunday.

During the event, Trump, who spoke last to the approximately 65,000 attendees, honored the conservative activist's life with religiously inspired rhetoric.

"He's a martyr now for American freedom," Trump declared about Kirk, who was fatally shot on September 10 at a Utah university campus.

"I know I speak for everyone here today when I say that none of us will ever forget Charlie. And neither now will history."

Multiple videos from the ceremony circulated on social media platforms, one showing Trump swaying and appearing to lip-sync the word "America" as the choir performed 'America The Beautiful' in the background. In the recording, Erika Kirk is visible smiling despite her tearful expression.

Posting the video, X user Michael Tracey commented, "Trump does a funny little dance alongside Charlie Kirk's bereaved widow."

Some internet users found Trump's behavior inappropriate. X user Morgan J. Freeman stated, "Inappropriate doesn't even come close to describing whatever the fuck this is."

Kirk's assassination earlier this month has ignited intense debate regarding violence, decorum and freedom of speech in a time of profound political division. Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah resident, has been charged with Kirk's murder and could face capital punishment if convicted of the most serious offenses. While authorities have not established a clear motive for the shooting, prosecutors report that Robinson texted his partner after the incident saying he had "had enough" of Kirk's hatred.

Turning Point, the organization Kirk established to mobilize young Christian conservatives, evolved into a multimillion-dollar operation under his leadership with tremendous reach. The massive attendance at his memorial demonstrated the influence he had accumulated in conservative America through his ability to engage young people.

The ceremony brought together prominent figures from the Republican Party, with numerous current and former lawmakers in attendance. Tech billionaire Elon Musk, a former top adviser to Trump, was observed sitting with Trump during part of the service.
