At Charlie Kirk's memorial service, former rivals US President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk were seen together for the first time since their public disagreement. Lip reader Nicola Hickling has now decoded their brief conversation during this solemn occasion.
According to Hickling, Trump approached Musk saying, "How are you doing?" followed by "So Elon, I've heard you wanted to chat." The President then suggested, "Let's try and work out how to get back on track." As Trump tapped Musk's hand, he reportedly said, "I've missed you," while Musk responded with a nod, according to Daily Mail.

The White House official account on X shared footage of this interaction between the two prominent figures.
The reunion occurred at State Farm Arena in Glendale, Arizona, where thousands gathered to honor Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist who was fatally shot on September 10 at Utah Valley University campus.
During the memorial, Musk shared a photograph of himself seated alongside Trump with the simple caption, "For Charlie."
Both Kirk and Musk had been instrumental in registering Republican voters during the 2024 Presidential election, focusing their efforts on influencing critical swing states.
Musk, who contributed over $270 million to Trump's presidential campaign and actively campaigned in key battleground states, previously headed the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in the early months of Trump's second term. The Tesla CEO departed from this position in June.
Their relationship deteriorated over Trump's 'One Big Beautiful' spending bill, which Musk described as "utterly insane and destructive."
The conflict intensified when Musk alleged Trump was mentioned in the Jeffrey Epstein files, after which the President suggested he might consider deporting Musk. In response, the tech entrepreneur announced plans to form an "America First" party.
Sunday's memorial service also included tributes from Trump's sons Eric and Donald Trump Jr, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, and US Vice President JD Vance.
President Trump referred to Kirk as a friend and commended his efforts in building conservative grassroots movements.
