White House Releases Medical Report Confirming President Trump's "Excellent Overall Health" Following Aging Concerns

Following reports questioning President Trump's health at age 79, the White House released a comprehensive medical assessment from Captain Sean Barbabella confirming the president remains in "excellent overall health." The detailed memo reveals normal cardiovascular and abdominal systems based on recent advanced MRI imaging, addressing public speculation about Trump's physical condition during his second term.

After 'Trump Is Ageing' Report, White House's "Perfect Health" Response

President Trump underwent a comprehensive executive physical examination including advanced MRI imaging.

A week following a report by a prominent American newspaper suggesting President Donald Trump might be displaying signs of aging, the White House released a detailed medical memorandum stating the 79-year-old president "remains in excellent overall health."

This health assessment was provided by Captain Sean Barbabella, Trump's White House physician, who confirmed the president received a "comprehensive executive physical" with advanced MRI imaging, revealing his cardiovascular and abdominal systems were "perfectly normal."

The White House emphasized, "President Trump remains the MOST ACCESSIBLE, energetic President in history," alongside the physician's statement that confirmed his excellent cardiovascular health.

Barbabella, a U.S. Navy emergency physician with service experience in Iraq and Afghanistan, explained that Trump underwent the MRI in October "because men of his age group benefit from thorough evaluation of cardiovascular and abdominal health."

This medical update followed a New York Times report stating, "Trump, 79, is the oldest person to be elected to the presidency, and he is ageing... Nearly a year into his second term, Americans see Mr Trump less than they used to... And when he is in public, occasionally, his battery shows signs of wear."

The newspaper article also mentioned Trump applying makeup to conceal "a bruise on the back of his right hand," which his staff and doctor attributed to aspirin use and frequent handshakes. Previously in September, images of Trump's bruised hand and swollen ankles had prompted online speculation regarding his health condition.

When questioned about Trump's MRI results and allegations that he had been "falling asleep in the Oval Office," Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt defended the president's energy level and redirected attention to former President Joe Biden, 82, according to the report.

On Monday, Leavitt intensified her criticism, accusing the newspaper and its reporter of making politically motivated claims against the president.

"I will point out one fake news story over the weekend... that said that he's doing less than he did in his first term or he might not be fit for the job. That is unequivocally false," she stated firmly.

Criticizing the reporter for previously praising Biden's health after a fall, Leavitt remarked, "Same outlet, same reporter who wrote that President Trump is not fit for the job. Are you kidding me? You all see him almost every single day. He is the most accessible president in history... I can assure you he absolutely is."

She highlighted that Barbabella's memo provided "quite a bit of detail in the effort of transparency," adding, "The president promised it last night and we have it delivered today."

According to the medical memo, imaging showed no arterial narrowing, no abnormalities in the heart or major vessels, and no issues affecting blood flow. Trump's cardiovascular system, Barbabella stated, "shows excellent health."

The abdominal scan additionally revealed that "everything evaluated is functioning within normal limits with no acute or chronic concerns." The physician described such imaging as standard procedure for an "executive physical" for someone of Trump's age.

The White House had previously faced questions for not explaining why Trump required an MRI during his October physical examination. Trump later confirmed the scan, conducted at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, "was perfect."

Barbabella explained that the imaging was performed preventatively, to "identify issues early, confirm overall health, and ensure he maintains long-term vitality and function."

Trump has been observed this year with swollen ankles, bruising on his right hand, and has occasionally appeared to nod off during meetings. In July, the White House disclosed that he had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a vein disorder that can cause leg swelling.
