A remarkable group of 104 skydivers representing 20 different countries successfully formed an impressive mid-air canopy formation over Lake Wales, Florida. This extraordinary event, which took place on November 22, featured athletes creating a magnificent star-shaped pattern high above the ground.
Performance Designs, the organizer of this spectacular feat, shared a breathtaking video with the caption: "This Thanksgiving, we're giving thanks for a new 104-way CRW world record!"
Their message continued: "To everyone who built this historic formation from the base, to the very last dock, to the video team and to everyone on the ground supporting them, congrats. You made something unforgettable."
This physics-defying accomplishment involved athletes connecting their parachutes in perfect harmony, resulting in the largest CRW (Canopy Relative Work) formation ever completed.
The footage reveals colorful parachutes interlocking flawlessly in midair, creating a stunning visual spectacle before a dramatic dispersal, resembling a giant cosmic flower blooming in the sky.
Approximately 36 skilled skydivers utilized specialized Valkyrie parachutes to establish a stable core for the formation. The remaining participants jumped from other aircraft and methodically attached themselves to this base, one after another, gradually expanding the formation into the giant star pattern.

The video quickly went viral, leaving viewers astounded. One commenter expressed: "Dude that's so awesome..! I've jumped out more craft than a good majority of people. At my younger age I was kicking off back flips out of the back. And I have never been afraid of heights. But I noticed every time I wouldn't go up again I froze. Congrats to everyone is involved behinds the scenes … mad respect!!"
Another viewer noted: "Videos like these remind us humans are pretty awesome."
A third simply stated: "This is next level cool!"
The team consisted of experienced skydivers from 20 different nations, with participants ranging from young adults to a 76-year-old veteran. This impressive achievement broke the previous world record of 100 skydivers set in 2007, according to The Westmorland Gazette.
Peter Hughes, a 60-year-old from Ulverston, UK, was among the 104 skydivers who participated in this record-breaking jump. When asked about his experience, he described it as "absolutely amazing."
He explained that a group of 130 skydivers had been collaborating for many years, focusing specifically on this particular jump for the past three years. "Everyone involved in it [the jump] has gone through a journey," he told the publication.
Peter, who comes from Ulverston, revealed that he has completed approximately 5,000 jumps throughout his lifetime and regularly competes in skydiving competitions both in the UK and internationally. He is planning to participate in the World Championship skydiving competition in the US next year.
