Manish Bandlish, who has served as the Managing Director of Mother Dairy since March 2021, has submitted his resignation to pursue professional opportunities outside the company. His tenure will conclude on November 30.
The leading milk supplier Mother Dairy has confirmed this development. In an official statement to PTI, the company said, "Manish Bandlish has decided to step down from his position as Managing Director of Mother Dairy, upon completion of his notice period on November 30, 2025, in order to pursue his professional goals outside the company."
Mother Dairy expressed sincere gratitude for Bandlish's significant contributions to the company's growth during his leadership. Until a permanent replacement is appointed, the Deputy Managing Director will oversee the Managing Director's responsibilities with guidance from the Board.
As one of India's prominent milk suppliers, Mother Dairy distributes over 50 lakh liters of milk daily across multiple states, with more than 35 lakh liters supplied daily to the Delhi-NCR market alone. The company reported a turnover of Rs 17,500 crore in the last fiscal year.
Beyond its core milk and dairy products marketed under the 'Mother Dairy' brand, the company has diversified its portfolio to include edible oils under the 'Dhara' brand and fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables under the 'Safal' brand. Recently, the company expanded into the bread and bakery sector as well.
Mother Dairy was established in 1974 and currently operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). It was founded as part of 'Operation Flood,' a landmark dairy development program designed to achieve milk self-sufficiency in India.
The company's infrastructure includes nine company-owned milk processing plants, four facilities dedicated to its horticulture business, and 16 associated plants for edible oil production.
