Chaotic Scenes at Uttar Pradesh Mass Wedding as Crowd Scrambles for Snacks, Several Injured

A mass wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur district descended into chaos on Tuesday when attendees frantically rushed to obtain snacks being distributed at the venue. Several guests sustained injuries during the disorderly scramble.

The event, organized under the Chief Minister's Mass Marriage Scheme, united 383 underprivileged couples at the sports ground of Brahmanand Mahavidyalaya in Rath town. Following the completion of wedding rituals, when snacks were being served, numerous attendees immediately surged forward to seize packets of chips.

Social media footage depicts crowds aggressively grabbing packets and attempting to take them from others. Individuals can be observed collecting cartons, breaking them open, and hastily removing the chip packets.

According to eyewitnesses, no officials were present to manage the crowd or control the escalating situation.

This incident follows another recent controversy where a viral video showed a man named Danish spitting on rotis while preparing them at a wedding in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district.

After the video circulated widely, authorities identified Danish and arrested him on Sunday.

Senior police officer Tejveer Singh confirmed the arrest, stating that Danish was taken into custody for the act of spitting on rotis during the wedding celebration.
