19-Year-Old Jammu Resident Arrested for Online Radicalization and Suspected Terror Plot

Jammu Police have arrested a 19-year-old man from the Bathindi area for suspected terrorist activities. Preliminary investigations reveal the Reasi native was radicalized online and was communicating with Pakistan-based handlers while allegedly planning a terror attack. His digital devices have been seized as authorities continue their investigation under Section 113(3) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.

19-Year-Old Arrested From Jammu Over Suspected Terror Links

A 19-year-old man has been apprehended by Jammu Police due to his suspected connections with terrorist activities. The young suspect, originally from Reasi in Jammu, was residing in the Bathindi area when police took him into custody.

Initial investigations indicate that the teenager was radicalized through online platforms and was allegedly formulating plans to execute a terrorist attack. Evidence suggests he maintained communication via mobile phone with handlers located in Pakistan and various other foreign countries.

The arrest was made in relation to a First Information Report (FIR) filed at Bahu Fort police station under Section 113(3) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), which specifically addresses terrorist activity.

Authorities have confiscated the suspect's electronic devices, which are currently undergoing forensic examination.

Law enforcement officials are conducting comprehensive questioning of the accused while continuing a thorough investigation into the matter.
