Bollywood Socialite Orry Questioned in Mumbai's Rs 252 Crore Drug Investigation

Social media personality and Bollywood socialite Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, presented himself at the Mumbai Police's Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) office in Ghatkopar today around 1:30 pm. His appearance was related to an investigation involving a significant mephedrone drug seizure valued at Rs 252 crore.

The ANC had issued two notices requesting Orry's appearance after his name emerged during questioning of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, an arrested drug trafficker. Orry had previously requested an extension when initially summoned on Thursday.

This case originated in March 2024 when authorities discovered a mephedrone manufacturing facility in Maharashtra's Sangli district, resulting in the seizure of 126 kg of the substance worth approximately Rs 252 crore. Earlier this month, Shaikh, also known as Lavish, was extradited from Dubai and subsequently arrested by Mumbai Police in connection with this case.

Shaikh is reportedly a close associate of fugitive drug kingpin Salim Dola, who has known connections to underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim.

During his interrogation, Shaikh confessed to organizing drug-fueled rave parties both domestically and internationally for celebrities from the film and fashion industries, as well as politicians and public figures. He claimed that Orry attended such gatherings. Other prominent names reportedly mentioned during Shaikh's questioning included actress Nora Fatehi, actress Shraddha Kapoor, and filmmaking duo Abbas-Mastan.

Mumbai Police have summoned all individuals named by Shaikh to verify these allegations and determine any potential involvement in the larger drug network. It's important to note that Orry was called solely for questioning and verification purposes, with no formal charges filed against him thus far.
