India Launches Revolutionary AI-Powered Mobile Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle for Enhanced Border Security

Indrajaal Drone Defence introduces India's first AI-enabled mobile anti-drone patrol vehicle, the 'Indrajaal Ranger', designed to detect, track, and neutralize hostile drones while in motion. This innovative security solution addresses critical vulnerabilities in border defense by providing dynamic coverage across sensitive areas, disrupting smuggling networks, and strengthening national security infrastructure against sophisticated aerial threats.

India's First Fully Mobile, AI-Enabled Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle Launched

Indrajaal Drone Defence has unveiled the 'Indrajaal Ranger', marking a significant advancement in India's border security capabilities as the country's first Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle (ADPV).

This pioneering mobile system, powered by artificial intelligence, is specifically engineered to detect, track, and neutralize hostile drones while in motion, addressing a critical gap in national security infrastructure.

Unlike traditional stationary anti-drone solutions, the 'Ranger' operates as a purpose-built combat vehicle delivering on-the-move drone detection, continuous patrolling capabilities, and immediate interception functionality—essential features for countering increasingly sophisticated cross-border threats.

The development of this ADPV was accelerated following recent security incidents highlighting drones as primary vectors for illicit activities across Indian borders.

Notable incidents include ISI-connected weapons smuggling deep into Indian territory and the interception of hundreds of Pakistani drones this year—vehicles that facilitate India's enormous Rs 3-lakh-crore drug trafficking network—underscoring the urgent need for rapid, mobile response capabilities.

Kiran Raju, Founder and CEO of Indrajaal, emphasized the system's strategic importance, stating: "Each drone neutralized represents lives protected and India's internal security strengthened. This fundamental mission drives our work at Indrajaal—defending freedom."

The ADPV provides comprehensive, dynamic coverage across vulnerable areas including border roads, canal systems, agricultural regions, critical infrastructure, and densely populated urban environments. Its key features include AI-driven autonomous threat assessment and instantaneous target interception and neutralization.

At the launch event, Lieutenant General Devendra Pratap Pandey (Retd), PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM, commended the innovation: "India's youth deserve a safer nation, free from international crime networks. Technologies like the Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle aren't merely machines—they function as shields protecting our children, farmers, and future. This Ranger launch represents a transformative contribution that will be appreciated by the country and those guarding our borders."

The Indrajaal Ranger is positioned to establish a transformative layer of national security by disrupting logistical supply routes and financial channels supporting criminal operations, thereby weakening recruitment networks for smuggling and extremist activities, while restoring security and dignity to vulnerable border communities.

Indrajaal stands as India's pioneering autonomous Counter-UAS and air-defense technology developer. The company's proprietary autonomy engine, SkyOS, integrates multi-sensor intelligence with real-time decision-making capabilities within a unified C5ISRT framework.

This technology enables the creation of dynamic "security domes" protecting complex environments including airports, refineries, and military installations at unprecedented scale—systems that are already operational, according to Raju's statement to NDTV.

The company has demonstrated operational success and is uniquely positioned for national-level implementation, having secured ARDTC certification for Counter-UAS system deployment.
