Gonda:
A teacher who was assigned duties as a Booth Level Officer (BLO) tragically passed away on Tuesday after allegedly consuming a poisonous substance, according to official reports.
Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Alok Kumar stated that Vipin Yadav, who hailed from Malani Sarai Khas in Jaunpur district, was employed as an assistant teacher at Jaitpur Majha Primary School located in the Nawabganj block.
Kumar added that Yadav was also performing duties as a BLO in Khempur gram panchayat.
On Tuesday morning, Yadav allegedly consumed a toxic substance. When his health condition worsened, his fellow teachers rushed him to a private hospital, which subsequently referred him to a medical college for advanced treatment.
District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan personally visited the medical college and later arranged for Yadav to be transferred to the Trauma Centre in Lucknow. Unfortunately, medical professionals at the center pronounced him dead upon arrival.
The ADM informed that a two-member investigation team has been established to examine the circumstances surrounding this incident. The team comprises the Chief Revenue Officer and the Additional Superintendent of Police (West).
Officials confirmed that Yadav's body has been sent for post-mortem examination and will be transported to his native village for final rites.
