Major Road Cracks Appear Near Delhi's Badli Mor Metro Station Causing Significant Traffic Disruption

Delhi's Outer Ring Road experienced significant cracking near Badli Mor metro station due to tunnel construction work, causing hours of traffic congestion before repairs were completed. This follows a similar road collapse incident in Janakpuri earlier this year, raising concerns about infrastructure stability across the city.

Cracks appeared along Delhi's Outer Ring Road near Badli Mor metro station on Monday evening, resulting in severe traffic congestion that was only resolved after several hours.

The road damage was caused by ongoing tunnel construction work in the vicinity of the metro station. Video footage revealed an extensive crack running along the road surface, with vegetation placed within the fissure to warn approaching vehicles.

Traffic police and Public Works Department officials were promptly notified of the situation. After approximately five hours of repair work, the road was restored and normal traffic flow resumed.

This incident follows a similar occurrence in September when a section of road in Delhi's Janakpuri area collapsed due to waterlogging after heavy rainfall. According to a resident, what began as a minor hole in the pavement eventually expanded to approximately 10 feet in width.
