Tragic Death of 14-Year-Old Student by Suicide at Maharashtra Tribal Residential School

In a tragic incident reported from Palghar district in Maharashtra, a 14-year-old male student allegedly took his own life at a tribal residential educational institution on Monday, according to police statements.

The devastating event occurred at approximately 11:45 am at a school facility located in Man village in the vicinity of Vikramgarh, as confirmed by an official source.

The Class 8 pupil was discovered suspended with a nylon cord around his neck in his dormitory room during the school's designated prayer time, the official further elaborated.

Authorities have indicated that the teenager's remains were sent for post-mortem examination, and the case has been registered as an accidental death at this stage.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the young student had experienced the loss of his father several years prior and had been under the guardianship of his maternal uncle, the official noted, adding that investigations are currently underway to ascertain the specific circumstances that led to this unfortunate decision.
