In Pune, Pawar reflected on Dharmendra's extraordinary legacy. The beloved actor, famous for his "Greek god" appearance and impressive filmography spanning over 300 films across various genres, passed away at his Mumbai residence just days before what would have been his 90th birthday celebration.

"Dharmendra made his entrance into Indian cinema during the 1960s and quickly rose to prominence as a cherished star who portrayed characters that resonated with the common people. He established a unique identity in the film industry by capturing the hearts of audiences throughout the country," Pawar stated in his heartfelt tribute.

The seasoned politician observed that while younger generations might not fully comprehend the actor's immense influence, an entire generation was captivated by Dharmendra's charisma, distinctive mannerisms, and elegant style.

"His performance as 'Veeru' in the classic film 'Sholay' remains etched in public memory as the embodiment of unwavering friendship and heroic courage," Pawar remarked.
