Bengaluru College Student Found Dead: 21-Year-Old BBM Student Suspected Murder Victim

Bengaluru:
On Sunday, a 21-year-old college student was discovered deceased in a room rented by a woman identified as Manasa in Bengaluru, with police investigating the case as a suspected homicide.
The deceased has been identified as Devisri, a final-year Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) student attending Acharya College.
Police investigators believe that a man named Prem Vardhan may have killed Devisri through strangulation or suffocation. According to officials, Prem and Devisri arrived at the rented accommodation around 9:30 am and remained there until 8:30 pm. Reports indicate that he subsequently locked the room from the outside before fleeing the scene.
Authorities have not yet determined the motive behind the alleged murder.
The incident was brought to light when Jayant T (23), originally from Andhra Pradesh but currently residing in Bengaluru, filed a complaint with the Madanayakanahalli Police Station.
Police have registered a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Law enforcement officials have initiated a manhunt to locate Prem, who remains at large.
According to police sources, significant evidence has been gathered, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspect as quickly as possible.
