Tragic End: Groom Killed in Road Accident Minutes Before Wedding in Uttar Pradesh

Subodh Kumar met with a fatal road accident before his wedding ceremony could take place.

A joyous wedding celebration in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh transformed into a heart-wrenching tragedy when the groom, Subodh Kumar, lost his life after being struck by a speeding vehicle just moments before his marriage ceremony. The festive atmosphere at the wedding venue immediately dissolved into profound grief.

The tragic incident took place in the jurisdiction of Binauli police station. Subodh, who hailed from Pichokra village, had arrived with his wedding procession at Saroorpur Kalan village on Sunday evening. The procession had temporarily stopped at the Panchayat house where guests were enjoying refreshments and dinner.

Family members reported that Subodh exited his vehicle after experiencing nausea and began vomiting by the roadside. It was at this vulnerable moment when a speeding truck, coming from the opposite direction, struck him violently. The vehicle dragged the groom several meters before fleeing from the scene. Wedding guests rushed Subodh to a private medical facility before he was transferred to the district hospital, where medical professionals pronounced him dead upon arrival.

Law enforcement officers from the Binauli police station promptly arrived at the accident scene and arranged for the body to undergo post-mortem examination. The police are currently analyzing CCTV footage from the highway and surrounding areas to identify and locate the truck driver responsible. Officials stated that they will register a case and take appropriate action based on their investigation findings and the family's formal complaint.

The bride's family has been left in a state of profound shock and sorrow. Subodh was the only son in his family, making this loss particularly devastating. What should have been a night of celebration and new beginnings instead became one of unimaginable tragedy.

Sukhpal Singh, a relative of the deceased, confirmed the sequence of events, stating that Subodh had briefly stepped out to vomit when the speeding truck struck him.

Dr. Raj Singh from the District Hospital verified that Subodh was brought to the medical facility around 10:30 pm on Sunday following the road accident.

The doctor further stated that Subodh showed no vital signs when he arrived at the hospital.
