Parents Demand Answers About Academic Future as Al-Falah Medical College Faces Terror Investigation

Parents of students attending Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad, Haryana, are expressing profound concern as the institution faces continued regulatory scrutiny and security investigations.

On Saturday, concerned parents collectively submitted a formal petition to the university's vice chancellor, requesting immediate intervention and transparency regarding their children's academic prospects.

The written appeal highlighted parents' growing anxiety over recent developments, including potential recognition withdrawal by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and reported suspension threats from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

"We gathered here today out of concern for our children's future at this university. We met with three professors since the vice chancellor and principal were occupied with the ongoing investigation," explained Rajnish, a parent from Delhi, in his statement to NDTV.

"The professors assured us that the university remains secure and students' academic degrees will not be affected. As a parent, it's deeply troubling to discover that the institution where our children study is under investigation for potential terror-related activities. The investigative agencies are conducting their work, and we await the investigation's conclusions," he added.

The petition also references ongoing security investigations connected to the institution, which parents believe have jeopardized the college's operational stability.

Investigations have revealed that several doctors previously employed at the college were involved in a sophisticated terror network. One former employee became a suicide bomber who detonated explosives in Delhi's Chandni Chowk, resulting in 13 fatalities.

"This unprecedented situation has created significant disruption for hundreds of medical students whose futures now hang in uncertainty," states the parents' representation.

The concerned parents have requested the administration provide a clear strategy addressing academic continuity, examination schedules, and the validity of medical degrees earned through the institution.

Their appeal emphasizes both the emotional and financial impact of the current crisis, noting that numerous families have invested years of effort and substantial financial resources into their children's medical education.

Signatories to the petition include parents from various cities, indicating widespread concern across different academic years and departments. As of this report, no official statement has been issued by Al-Falah Medical College or its administration.
