New Delhi:

Major appliance manufacturers have implemented price reductions on room air conditioners by up to Rs 4,500 and dishwashers by up to Rs 8,000, with new rates becoming effective from Monday as companies pass on GST benefits to consumers.

These companies are anticipating double-digit sales growth during the upcoming festival season, with Navratra celebrations beginning this week.

Prominent brands including Voltas, Daikin, Godrej Appliances, Panasonic, and Haier have already announced revised price lists, which will take effect from Monday, September 22, coinciding with the implementation of the revised GST rates.

Some air conditioner manufacturers, along with their retail partners, had initiated pre-booking opportunities at reduced prices, expecting increased consumer demand as the lower GST rates become effective next week, and are encouraged by initial customer response.

Beyond room air conditioners, manufacturers have extended GST benefits to variable refrigerant volume (VRF) air conditioners designed for large buildings or small commercial establishments, as well as light commercial air conditioners (cassette type split AC) and tower air conditioners.
