New Delhi:

According to sources who spoke to NDTV on Friday, Muzammil Shakeel Ganaie, a co-accused in the Delhi blast case, utilized a flour mill to prepare chemicals for explosives.

NDTV also obtained photographs of the flour mill, a grinder, and several electronic machines that were discovered at the residence of a taxi driver in Faridabad, Haryana.

Ganaie, who hails from Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir, has been arrested for his significant involvement in the deadly explosion near Red Fort on November 10. He operated the flour mill in his rented accommodation in Faridabad, where police recovered 360 kg of ammonium nitrate and other explosives on November 9.

He would grind urea in the flour mill to produce chemicals necessary for creating explosives.

Sources revealed that during interrogation, Ganaie, a physician at the Faridabad-based Al-Falah University which is now central to the Delhi car blast investigation, admitted to using the flour mill for an extended period to extract ammonium nitrate from urea and refine explosives.

Initially, he transported the flour mill, grinder, and other electronic equipment to the driver's residence, claiming they were presents for his sister's wedding, before eventually moving them to his rented quarters.

A team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is investigating the explosion that claimed 15 lives, has taken the taxi driver into custody for questioning.

According to sources, the driver informed the NIA that he met Ganaie approximately four years ago when he brought his son to the Al-Falah Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

Ganaie and two colleagues from Al-Falah University - Shaheen Saeed from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and Adeel Ahmed Rather from Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir - have also been apprehended in connection with the Delhi blast.

The explosion of a Hyundai i20 car, operated by suicide bomber Umar un Nabi near the Red Fort, resulted in 15 fatalities and numerous injuries.

Umar, a Kashmiri doctor, was also connected to Al-Falah University.

Hours before the Red Fort explosion, Jammu and Kashmir Police announced they had dismantled an interstate and transnational "white-collar" terror network linked to Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, an al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist organization.

They reported seizing 2,900 kilograms of explosive materials, including ammonium nitrate, which was allegedly used in the Delhi blast.
