A Paying Guest (PG) establishment owner in Noida's Sector 61 allegedly assaulted a female resident during a confrontation regarding her security deposit refund. The incident, which was recorded on video by the woman's male companion standing outside the building, quickly went viral across social media platforms, prompting law enforcement to take action.

The altercation occurred when the woman, who was moving out of her accommodations, requested the return of her security deposit from the PG operator. The situation escalated into a heated argument, during which the operator reportedly slapped the woman, pulled her hair, and caused physical injuries. The victim's male companion, who was not permitted to enter the women-only PG facility, documented the incident using his mobile phone. According to his account, the operator's employees also seized the woman's phone and prevented her from exiting the building.

The video footage shows the confrontation between the PG owner and the female resident.

After the video gained widespread attention online, it sparked significant public outrage and calls for stern action against the PG operator.

In response to the social media backlash and the victim's formal complaint, Noida Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) at the Sector 58 police station. Officials have since contacted the victim to record her statement and have initiated legal proceedings against the accused PG operator.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate issued a statement confirming that an FIR had been filed at the Sector 58 police station and that legal action was in progress against the accused party.

"Regarding the referenced incident, a case has been registered at Police Station Sector 58, and legal proceedings have been initiated by the Sector 58 Police against the accused individuals," the official statement declared.
