The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended four additional primary suspects in connection with the November 10 Delhi blast incident, escalating the total number of arrests to six as the investigation continues to deepen.
The newly arrested individuals have been identified as Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganai from Pulwama, Dr. Adeel Ahmed Rather from Anantnag, Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay from Shopian, all residents of Jammu and Kashmir, along with Dr. Shaheen Saeed from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
According to the NIA's Thursday press release, "The four accused were taken into custody by NIA in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, on production orders from the District Sessions Judge, Patiala House Court."
The agency's investigation has determined that all these individuals played significant roles in the terrorist attack that resulted in multiple casualties and injuries to innocent civilians.
Moving swiftly with its investigation, the NIA had previously arrested two other suspects – Amir Rashid Ali, who was the registered owner of the vehicle used in the explosion, and Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, who allegedly provided technical assistance to the terrorist involved in the deadly incident.
Previous reports indicate that Jasir had purportedly supplied technical support for executing terror attacks by modifying drones and attempting to construct rockets prior to the devastating car bomb explosion, which claimed 13 lives and left 32 people wounded.
Earlier on Monday, a Delhi court remanded Aamir Rashid Ali, a Kashmir resident accused of conspiring with Umar, to 10 days in NIA custody. Ali, whose name appeared on the registration of the car used in the blast, was arrested on November 16.
The NIA stated, "Their interrogation is continuing as part of NIA's efforts to unravel the complete terror conspiracy in the case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI."
The anti-terrorism agency, which was assigned the investigation by the Union Home Ministry shortly after the attack, is collaborating closely with various state police forces to track and apprehend every member of the terrorist network involved in the attack.
