Maharashtra Man Kills Teen Niece By Pushing Her Off Moving Train After Relationship Pressure

A 28-year-old man in Maharashtra's Palghar district has been arrested for murdering his 16-year-old niece by pushing her off a moving train. The victim, who had been in a romantic relationship with her maternal uncle, had pressured him to marry her. The incident occurred while they were traveling between Naigaon and Bhayander stations, where witnesses saw the accused push the teenager to her death.

A tragic incident occurred in Maharashtra's Palghar district where a 28-year-old man pushed his 16-year-old niece from a moving train, resulting in her death. The perpetrator, Arjun Soni, has been apprehended by authorities and placed in police custody for four days.

The victim, identified as Komal Sonar from Mumbai's Mankhurd area, had been involved in a romantic relationship with her maternal uncle for several months. Soni worked as a security guard in Vasai.

According to police reports, Komal had left her family home on Saturday with intentions to marry her uncle and had temporarily moved into his Vasai residence. She subsequently departed from his home without notification, prompting her mother to file a police complaint. Authorities registered a kidnapping case under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on this complaint.

The fatal incident took place on Monday when Arjun Soni was traveling with Komal on a local train from Bhayander to Nala Sopara. Between the Naigaon and Bhayander stations, Soni pushed the teenager from the moving train, causing her death.

A witness named Nandu Jha observed the crime and confirmed that the uncle had pushed the girl from the train. Other passengers on board managed to detain Arjun Soni and handed him over to the Vasai Railway Police.
