Rohini Acharya, daughter of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, launched a scathing attack on Tuesday against Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav. She accused him of disrespecting her despite her significant sacrifice of donating a kidney to her father.
In a bold move, Acharya directly challenged the RJD MP to donate his own kidney to someone in need.
Through her official X account, accompanied by an audio message, Acharya suggested that individuals seeking political advantage by using Lalu Prasad's name should demonstrate genuine compassion rather than feigning sympathy.
"Those claiming to act in Lalu's name should cease their false displays of sympathy and instead donate their kidneys to the millions of impoverished individuals desperately awaiting transplants in hospitals. Make your kidney donations in Lalu's name," she stated.
Acharya further challenged her critics to engage with her publicly: "Those criticizing a daughter who donated her kidney to her father should have the courage to debate me on an open platform. The noble act of kidney donation should first be performed by those who label a daughter's donated kidney as impure, followed by the self-proclaimed Haryanvi dignitaries, sycophantic journalists, and abusive Haryanvi devotee trolls."
With evident disdain, she added, "How can those who hesitate to donate even a bottle of blood presume to lecture others about kidney donation?"
These comments emerge amid intensifying internal conflict within the RJD following their recent electoral defeat. Party workers and Lalu family members have directed significant criticism toward Sanjay Yadav.
On November 15, following RJD's substantial loss in the Bihar Assembly elections, Acharya, who donated her kidney to Lalu Prasad Yadav in 2022, departed from the family residence and made serious allegations before flying to Delhi.
She claimed she faced threats of being beaten with slippers at the Lalu-Rabri residence, accusing Tejashwi Yadav and his close associates, Sanjay Yadav and Rameez Nemat Khan, of being responsible.
Acharya alleged that Tejashwi's advisors had effectively expelled her from the Lalu family.
Speaking to reporters at Patna airport on November 15, she stated, "I no longer have family here. Ask Sanjay Yadav, Rameez and Tejashwi Yadav why I am leaving home. They have forced me out."
She asserted that Tejashwi's advisors aspire to emulate Chanakya but refuse to accept accountability for the party's electoral failure.
"The entire nation is questioning why the party has reached this state," she remarked.
She further revealed that RJD workers were questioning Sanjay Yadav's role in the Bihar election defeat, and that raising these concerns led to threats of defamation, verbal abuse, and physical intimidation against her.
Acharya's departure has brought renewed scrutiny to Sanjay Yadav, a Haryana native and RJD Rajya Sabha MP, and Rameez Nemat Khan, a longtime associate of Tejashwi Yadav.
Rameez, originally from Uttar Pradesh's Balrampur district, became part of the RJD in 2016.
