New Delhi:

The United States Department of Homeland Security has deported Anmol Bishnoi on Tuesday, the younger brother of notorious mob boss Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol is a key conspirator in the murder of Nationalist Congress Party legislator Baba Siddiqui.

Confirmation of the deportation came via email to Siddiqui's son, Zeeshan Siddiqui, which was subsequently shared with NDTV. The communication stated: "This email is to inform you ANMOL BISHNOI has been removed from the United States by the federal government. The offender was removed on November 18, 2025."

Anmol Bishnoi is expected to arrive in India on November 19.

Indian authorities seek Anmol Bishnoi in connection with multiple serious criminal cases, including Baba Siddiqui's October 2024 assassination and Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's murder in May 2022. He also faces charges related to gunfire incidents outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's Mumbai residence in April 2024.

American officials apprehended Bishnoi in November last year, though not for crimes committed in India. Sources indicate he was arrested for illegally entering the United States.

India initiated extradition proceedings days after his arrest, following a Maharashtra court's issuance of a non-bailable warrant and Interpol's Red Corner Notice against him.

Previously, sources had informed NDTV that the Indian government was not optimistic about securing Anmol Bishnoi's extradition, particularly since he had submitted an asylum application to US authorities.

Lawrence Bishnoi's younger brother gained national attention after being added to the National Investigation Agency's Most Wanted List with a reward of Rs 10 lakh announced for information leading to his arrest.

Authorities have registered eighteen cases against him, including allegations that he provided weapons and logistical support to Sidhu Moosewala's killers. Goldy Brar, another member of the Bishnoi gang, initially claimed responsibility for the murder, later stating it was retribution for a rival politician's killing.

In June 2025, reports emerged of a split between Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi – former university friends turned criminal kingpins whose international operations span extradition, murder, and trafficking in drugs and weapons, among other criminal enterprises.

Sources told NDTV that tensions had been building for some time. The breaking point reportedly occurred because Lawrence Bishnoi believed Brar and fellow gangster Rohit Godara had failed to help secure his brother's bail.

Although Anmol eventually received bail, he was required to wear a GPS tracking device. This condition reportedly infuriated Lawrence Bishnoi, prompting him to sever ties with Brar and align with Noni Rana, brother of notorious Haryana gangster Kala Rana.

Anmol Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the shooting incident outside Salman Khan's Bandra residence. According to the chargesheet, Anmol delivered a nine-minute motivational speech to the shooters – Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal – telling them they would make history.

Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and three-term MLA, was murdered on October 12, 2024, near his son's office. Officials have stated that Anmol Bishnoi was also in communication with these assassins.
