Investigations into the Delhi blast that claimed 13 lives on November 10 have revealed that the conspirators acquired second-hand phones from Nepal and purchased SIM cards from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

According to sources, seven pre-owned mobile phones were procured from Nepal for the operation. Additionally, 17 SIM cards were utilized, with six of them being purchased in Kanpur.

Security agencies took immediate action after two of these SIMs were identified using IDs from Beconganj, a mixed residential and commercial district in central Kanpur.

The investigation has uncovered that three doctors maintained contact with Dr Umar Mohammad, also known as Umar un-Nabi, the perpetrator who carried out the explosion near the Red Fort using a Hyundai i20, up until an hour before the incident.

These three doctors have been identified as Dr Parvez, Dr Mohammad Arif, and Dr Farooq Ahmad Dar.

Dr Parvez is the sibling of Dr Shaheen Saeed, an accused in the Delhi blast case who was apprehended at Al-Falah University in Faridabad. Dr Parvez serves as an assistant professor at Integral University in Lucknow.

Dr Mohammad Arif, a first-year DM (Cardiology) student at the state-operated GSVM Medical College in Kanpur, was detained on Friday, while Dr Farooq Ahmad Dar holds a position as an assistant professor at the GS Medical College.

Sources indicate that Dr Shaheen and Dr Muzammil were also directly communicating with the accused Umar until the morning of November 8.

The planning for the Delhi blast took the accused four weeks to complete. According to sources, they began developing the blueprint on October 2 and finalized it on October 28.

The Delhi Police's Special Cell interrogated Usman, a clothing shop owner in Beconganj and brother-in-law of Dr Parvez, for six hours. However, sources report that no significant information has emerged yet.

The investigation has found that during his visits to Kanpur, Dr Parvez met with his associates in various locations including Colonelganj, GSVM Medical College, Babupurwa, and Mandhana in Kanpur.

It has also been discovered that Dr Shaheen Saeed was observed in Kanpur during October.
