Dr Shaheen Saeed: Terror Network's "Madam Surgeon" and JeM Women's Wing Leader Uncovered After Delhi Blast

Dr Shaheen Saeed was identified as the leader of the women's wing of Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Investigators analyzing the recent explosion near Delhi's Red Fort have discovered a network where primary suspect Dr Shaheen was referred to as "Madam Surgeon" by her associates.

WhatsApp communications found on her phone have provided agencies with valuable insights into the group's internal messaging, including coded terminology and regular contacts with two unidentified women saved in her contacts as Madam X and Madam Z.

The messages indicate that Dr Shaheen frequently received calls and texts from these two numbers, neither of which displayed profile pictures. Investigators believe the term "medicine," which appeared repeatedly in conversations, was code for explosives. In one particular message, Madam X wrote that "medicine should not be lacking for the operation."

Security agencies suspect "operation" was used as a codeword for terrorist activities. Another message from Madam Z stated, "Madam Surgeon, please pay more attention to Operation Hamdard."

Operation Hamdard was reportedly used to recruit female operatives for terrorist activities.

Notably, Saeed has been identified as heading the women's wing of the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organization. Intelligence reports suggest the JeM - responsible for the 2001 Parliament attack and the 2019 Pulwama incident - was operating this specific cell.

A resident of Lucknow's Lal Bagh, Saeed was apprehended last week, shortly before a panicked fourth member of the terror cell - later identified through DNA testing as Umar Mohammad - drove and detonated a Hyundai i20 filled with explosives near the Red Fort, resulting in his death and the deaths of 13 others.

According to intelligence sources, Saeed previously held the position of Head of the Pharmacology Department at Kanpur Medical College before being transferred to Kannauj Medical College.
