5 Arrested in Delhi for Fatal Stabbing Over Love Triangle: Complete Investigation Details

Five individuals were arrested for the alleged murder of a 23-year-old man in southeast Delhi's Govindpuri area following a dispute related to one-sided love, officials announced on Sunday.

According to police, they received a PCR call at approximately 9.52 pm on November 14 regarding a man found lying in a pool of blood at the Pravati Ekta Camp after being stabbed.

"A response team arrived at the location and discovered that the victim had already been transported to the AIIMS Trauma Centre by a PCR unit. Medical professionals declared him dead on arrival," stated the officer.

The deceased was identified as Roshan. Based on initial findings, authorities registered a case and commenced an investigation, the officer added.

"Several teams were formed to apprehend the suspects. The investigative team examined CCTV footage from the area and implemented technical surveillance. The footage revealed that five individuals were involved in the assault," he continued.

Utilizing manual intelligence and surveillance information, police first apprehended the two primary suspects, Prince Verma and his associate Aman, also known as Buddha. Their subsequent interrogation led to the arrest of the remaining suspects: Neeraj (18), Ashish (18), and Angad (19).

During questioning, Prince allegedly admitted that he orchestrated the attack because Roshan was showing interest in his girlfriend. Prince, accompanied by his associates, confronted Roshan and stabbed him.

Police have recovered the weapon used in the crime.

Prince (20) works as a truck driver alongside his father. The other four suspects are either students or daily wage earners with no previous criminal records, according to police, who added that further investigation is ongoing.
