Police are investigating the murder of an unidentified middle-aged woman found with severe injuries near Delhi's Adarsh Nagar Railway Station. A middle-aged woman was discovered murdered near Delhi's Adarsh Nagar Railway Station on Sunday, police officials confirmed.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) staff from the Sabzi Mandi area reported finding a woman, approximately 40-45 years old, among shrubs near the station premises.

According to a senior police officer, "The woman, believed to be a ragpicker or homeless person, was discovered with torn clothing and injuries to her face and head."

"There was a significant cut mark on her face and head, likely caused by a sharp weapon. Blood was also visible around her mouth," the officer stated.

The body was located in dense vegetation at the back of the railway station. Police recovered evidence near the scene including a pair of women's slippers, men's slippers, and other items potentially connected to the crime.

"The woman's identity remains unknown," the officer noted, adding that efforts are ongoing to locate her family or associates.

Police have collected evidence from the location and are thoroughly examining the crime scene. CCTV footage is being analyzed to trace the woman's movements before the incident occurred.

A murder case has been registered at Mahendra Park police station, and specialized teams have been formed to investigate the crime, the officer added.
