The Kannada film actress reported that she was secretly photographed at the Bengaluru airport.

A prominent actress from Kannada cinema has recently lodged a formal complaint against a businessman, citing serious allegations of harassment, stalking, defamation, and physical assault. The complaint, filed with police authorities on October 17, details a troubling relationship that began in 2022.

According to the actress's statement, she initially met the businessman, identified as Aravind Venkatesh Reddy, during an event held in Sri Lanka. What started as a seemingly friendly connection soon deteriorated as his behavior reportedly transformed from affectionate to obsessive and menacing.

The actress alleges that Reddy began monitoring her movements, manipulated her photographs on social media platforms, issued threats against her family members, and attempted to force her into maintaining an unwanted relationship.

The situation escalated dramatically in April 2024 when, as stated in the complaint, the actress attempted suicide by consuming tablets due to overwhelming stress and fear of Reddy's threats to forcibly marry her. She further alleges that while recovering in the Intensive Care Unit, Reddy and his associates physically assaulted her after she expressed her desire to terminate their relationship.

The complaint additionally details how Reddy subsequently demanded one crore rupees from her, continued tracking her location, sent individuals to her parents' residence, and persisted with harassment even after she had filed formal complaints with both the State Women's Commission and Cybercrime Police. Though the harassment temporarily ceased, it reportedly resumed in August 2024 when Reddy began distributing anonymous letters to the actress's friends and landlord, containing false accusations about illicit relationships and illegal activities.

The actress believes she was secretly photographed at Bengaluru airport, with these images later appearing in defamatory letters. She suspects a female associate of Reddy may have taken these photographs without permission and provided them to him.

Law enforcement officials have initiated an investigation to verify these allegations, examining the anonymous letters, social media activities, and previously filed complaints.
