Rapid Action Force personnel are maintaining vigilance at the Red Fort car explosion site in New Delhi.
According to police sources on Saturday, investigative agencies have taken a physician from Pathankot, Punjab into custody for interrogation regarding the Delhi explosion that occurred earlier this week.
The 45-year-old surgeon has been employed at a private medical college and hospital in Pathankot for over two years, authorities indicated.
Sources revealed that he previously held a position at Al Falah University in Haryana's Faridabad district, an institution also connected to the primary suspects in what officials are calling the "white collar terror module" case.
Two physicians from Haryana's Nuh district were detained for questioning related to the investigation on Friday.
One of these doctors completed his apprenticeship at Al Falah University following his MBBS degree. His apprenticeship concluded on November 2.
Police sources stated that the second doctor, a former student of the university, was currently employed at a private hospital in Nuh.
On Monday, agencies dismantled a "white collar terror module" with connections to terrorist organizations Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind operating across Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. They confiscated 2,900 kilograms of explosive materials and apprehended eight individuals, including three doctors affiliated with Al Falah University.
Shortly afterward, a powerful explosion tore through a slow-moving vehicle near the heavily populated Red Fort metro station area in Delhi, resulting in 13 fatalities and numerous injuries. DNA testing confirmed that Dr. Umar Nabi, an assistant professor at the university, was operating the vehicle that exploded.
In addition to the eight individuals arrested, agencies have detained several others for questioning following these incidents.
According to sources, investigators have discovered that the primary suspects allegedly utilized a Switzerland-based encrypted messaging application to plan and coordinate their activities related to the terrorist conspiracy.
