The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance secured a decisive victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections, winning more than 200 seats in the 243-member assembly.
The Bihar elections, conducted in two phases on November 6 and November 11, saw numerous political heavyweights emerge triumphant as results were announced.
Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan's chief ministerial candidate, successfully defended his family stronghold of Raghopur constituency.
Making headlines was BJP candidate Maithili Thakur, the renowned folksinger who became Bihar's youngest MLA after winning from the Alinagar constituency.
Senior BJP leader Samrat Choudhary demonstrated his political strength by securing victory in the Tarapur seat.
Vijay Kumar Sinha, Bihar's deputy Chief Minister, comfortably retained his Lakhisarai seat, further solidifying the NDA's position.
Bihar's incumbent Health Minister Mangal Pandey added to the BJP's tally by winning the Siwan constituency.
Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad maintained his winning streak in Katihar constituency, reinforcing the BJP's dominance.
JD(U) stalwart Anant Kumar Singh secured a comfortable win in the Mokama constituency, contributing to the alliance's landslide victory.
However, not all political figures enjoyed success. Tej Pratap Yadav, Tejashwi's brother who contested from a different party, faced defeat in the Mahua constituency.
The Congress party suffered significant setbacks across multiple constituencies.
In an ironic twist, renowned poll strategist Prashant Kishor, who had guided numerous leaders to electoral victories, experienced a substantial defeat in his first personal electoral contest.
