NDA's Landslide Victory in Bihar: Amit Shah Credits 'Politics of Performance' Over 'Jungle Raj'

Home Minister Amit Shah celebrates NDA's sweeping victory in Bihar elections, securing over 200 seats in the 243-member assembly. Shah attributes the win to voters' preference for 'politics of performance' and promises dedicated governance under Modi's leadership while rejecting what he calls the opposition's 'jungle raj' approach.

Those Who Practice Jungle Raj Won't Get Chance To Loot: Amit Shah On Bihar Results

Shah emphasized that voters now prioritize 'politics of performance' in their electoral decisions.

New Delhi:

Home Minister Amit Shah has described the NDA's overwhelming victory as a triumph for every Bihari citizen who believes in a 'Developed Bihar,' asserting that individuals who "practice jungle raj" will no longer have the opportunity to "loot" the people.

"Those who engage in 'jungle raj' and appeasement politics, regardless of their disguise, will not get the chance to loot. The public now bases their mandate entirely on the 'politics of performance'," Shah declared in his Friday post on X.

The BJP and its NDA coalition partners have repeatedly criticized the RJD, whose leader Tejashwi Yadav was positioned as the Mahagathbandhan opposition's chief ministerial candidate, claiming that Bihar experienced 'jungle raj' and 'gundaraj' (rule of goons) during the party's previous governance period.

In a commitment to Bihar's citizens, Shah wrote, "I assure the people of Bihar, especially our mothers and sisters, that the NDA government will fulfill the mandate you have entrusted to us with even greater dedication under Modi ji's leadership."

"I extend my congratulations to Shri @narendramodi ji, Shri @NitishKumar ji, and all NDA leaders and workers. Simultaneously, I salute all @BJP4Bihar workers from booth to state level who have achieved this result through their tireless dedication," he further stated.

The NDA is projected to secure over 200 seats in Bihar's 243-member Assembly, significantly exceeding the two-thirds majority threshold of 162. While 122 seats are required for a simple majority, the BJP alone is leading in nearly 90 constituencies, up from 74 in 2020. Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United) has also approximately doubled its representation from 43 seats in the previous election.
