Union Home Minister Amit Shah has promised severe consequences for those responsible for the Delhi blast that claimed 13 lives, emphasizing that the punishment will deter future attacks. Speaking virtually at a Gujarat event after canceling his visit due to the tragedy, Shah reaffirmed the government's commitment to bringing the perpetrators to justice and highlighted Prime Minister Modi's leadership in India's fight against terrorism.

Amit Shah conveyed profound sympathies to the families affected by the Delhi blast tragedy.

On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared that the punishment for those responsible for the Delhi blast will serve as a powerful message worldwide that no one should ever contemplate such an attack again.

Shah made these remarks via video link during the inauguration ceremony of Shri Motibhai R Chaudhary Sagar Sainik School and Sagar Organic Plant located in Boriyavi village, Gujarat's Mehsana district.

His planned visit to Gujarat was canceled following the explosion near the Red Fort on Monday evening that claimed 13 lives.

"All perpetrators of this cowardly act and their backers will face the law and receive the harshest possible punishment. The Government of India and the Ministry of Home Affairs are fully dedicated to ensuring this happens," Shah stated according to an official release.

The release also mentioned that he expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the blast.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi's determination to ensure severe punishment for all those behind this terrorist act will definitely be fulfilled," Shah emphasized, as reported in the Press Information Bureau release.

"The consequences for those behind the Delhi terror attack will demonstrate to the world that no one should ever dare to even consider such an attack in our country," he added.

Shah highlighted that under PM Modi's leadership, the international community has recognized India's anti-terrorism efforts over the past 11 years, with the prime minister leading this global fight.

The Home Minister was originally scheduled to visit Gujarat on Thursday to inaugurate a book fair in Ahmedabad before attending the Sainik School and Sagar Organic Plant inauguration function organized by Dudhsagar Dairy. However, his visit was canceled due to the high-intensity car explosion in the national capital that resulted in at least 13 fatalities.
