Delhi Police have issued an important travel advisory requesting passengers to arrive early at railway stations, metro stations, and the airport due to enhanced security measures. Joint Commissioner Milind Dumbre advises one hour early arrival for trains, 20 minutes for metro, and three hours for flights to accommodate thorough security screening procedures implemented across the national capital.

Delhi Police have issued a travel advisory requesting passengers to arrive at transportation hubs significantly ahead of their scheduled departures due to enhanced security measures across the national capital, an official confirmed on Thursday.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Transport Range) Milind Dumbre stated that Wednesday's advisory aims to ensure efficient security screening and facilitate timely boarding amid intensified security protocols at major transportation centers throughout the city.

"We recommend passengers arrive at railway stations at least one hour before their train's departure, metro stations a minimum of 20 minutes ahead of scheduled departure, and the airport three hours prior to flight times," Joint CP Dumbre explained.

He further noted that the strengthened security presence and comprehensive screening procedures have been implemented as precautionary measures.

"Our security personnel are conducting thorough inspections of passengers, baggage, and vehicles entering these facilities. We request all travelers to cooperate with police and security staff to maintain safety and operational efficiency," he added.

The Joint Commissioner emphasized that passengers' cooperation is essential to ensure both safety and seamless travel arrangements during this period of heightened security.
