Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Gujarat today to launch a series of transformative development projects across multiple sectors during a high-profile event held at Jawahar Maidan in Bhavnagar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate Mumbai's International Cruise Terminal today as part of a comprehensive development initiative across multiple sectors.

On Saturday, PM Modi will arrive in Gujarat to unveil a series of transformative projects during a significant event at Jawahar Maidan in Bhavnagar.

The Prime Minister will be the chief guest at the 'Samudra se Samriddhi' programme, where he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects valued at over Rs 34,200 crore.

A significant portion of the event focuses on the maritime sector, with projects worth more than Rs 7,870 crore being launched. These initiatives encompass essential infrastructure upgrades at major Indian ports. A highlight will be the inauguration of Mumbai's International Cruise Terminal at Indira Dock and the foundation stone laying for a new container terminal at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port in Kolkata.

The maritime development agenda also includes a new cargo berth and container handling facilities at Paradip Port in Odisha, the Tuna Tekra Multi-Cargo Terminal in Gujarat, and modernization initiatives at various ports including Kamarajar Port in Ennore (Tamil Nadu), Chennai Port, facilities at Car Nicobar Island, Deendayal Port in Kandla, as well as inland waterway facilities at Patna and Varanasi.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will unveil an extensive portfolio of projects worth Rs 26,354 crore specifically in Gujarat, targeting sectors such as renewable energy, port infrastructure, roadways, healthcare, and urban transportation.

Key Gujarat initiatives to be inaugurated include the HPLNG Regasification Terminal at Chhara Port, the Acrylics and Oxo Alcohol Project at the Gujarat IOCL Refinery, the 600 MW Green Shoe Initiative, and the 475 MW PM-KUSUM solar feeder benefiting farmers. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Badeli 45 MW Solar PV Project and the complete solarisation of Dhordo village.

In the healthcare and urban infrastructure domains, foundation stones will be laid for expansions at Sir T. General Hospital in Bhavnagar and Guru Govind Sinh Government Hospital in Jamnagar. PM Modi will also launch the four-laning of 70 kilometers of national highways, enhancing connectivity and trade routes throughout the state.

Several Memorandums of Understanding will be signed between government entities and private sector players, strengthening public-private partnerships and accelerating development in the region.

The Prime Minister's agenda also includes an aerial survey of the Dholera Special Investment Region, which is envisioned as a greenfield industrial city built on the principles of sustainable industrialization, smart infrastructure, and global investment attraction.
