CCTV Footage Reveals Dr Umar Mohammad's Journey Before Red Fort Explosion: Terror Plot Details Emerge

New CCTV footage reveals Dr Umar Mohammad's movements before the Red Fort explosion in Delhi that injured 20 people. The Al-Falah University employee was captured paying cash at a toll plaza, avoiding digital traces before the blast. This incident is connected to a recently dismantled "white collar" terror module with links to banned organizations, resulting in eight arrests and the seizure of 3,000 kg of explosive materials.

The CCTV footage is from November 10.

A new CCTV footage has emerged showing Dr Umar Mohammad, who drove the exploding Hyundai i20 near Red Fort, at a toll plaza on the Delhi-Haryana border.

The 79-second video from November 19 captures Mohammad, an Al-Falah University employee in Faridabad, arriving at the toll booth at 8:02am. He appears to be alone in the white vehicle, wearing a black mask.

In the footage, he hands cash to the toll operator - fueling speculation that he avoided using digital devices before the blast. Sources previously indicated Mohammad's phone remained off for 10 days prior to the incident, possibly to prevent tracking.

A large bag is visible on the car's back seat.

On Monday evening, a white Hyundai i20 exploded near Red Fort, wounding 20 people.

The explosion was powerful enough to damage several nearby vehicles. The area immediately descended into chaos as bystanders rushed to assist the injured.

Investigators have traced a second vehicle - a red Ford EcoSport - to Faridabad. A third car, possibly a Maruti Brezza, is also under investigation.

DNA analysis from samples collected at the blast site has confirmed Dr Umar Nabi was driving the exploded car, according to sources. Umar was a key figure in a "white collar" terror module dismantled earlier this week. He originated from Koil village in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

The explosion occurred hours after police dismantled a terror network linked to banned organizations Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, arresting eight individuals, including three doctors.

Approximately 3,000 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, potassium chlorate, and sulphur were seized during the operation against the terror module, which operated across Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.

Following the blast, authorities have sealed off the area surrounding the historic monument, with police and forensic teams conducting searches to gather evidence. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced Thursday that the Lal Quila metro station would remain closed indefinitely due to security concerns.
