Dramatic Camel Rescue: Animal Survives After Breaking Through Car Roof in Rajasthan Collision

The camel emerged from the accident without significant injuries.

In Rajasthan's Jodhpur, a vehicle crashed directly into a camel, causing the animal to become entrapped inside the car for several hours. The collision took place near Kolu Pabuji along the Phalodi-Dechu road during early Wednesday morning, resulting in injuries to both the driver and the camel.

Footage of the incident surfaced online, displaying the camel with its head and upper body extending out from the vehicle as it attempted to free itself from the damaged car.

Witnesses reported that a wandering camel suddenly appeared on the roadway, giving the driver insufficient time to brake effectively. The vehicle, operated by Ramsingh, a resident of Jodhpur, collided head-on with the animal, causing extensive damage to the car's bumper, bonnet, and windscreen.

Due to the impact force, the camel became trapped inside the vehicle when the front windscreen and roof of the car shattered.

Local residents quickly responded to the scene and successfully extracted the injured driver from the vehicle. They provided immediate first aid before transporting him to Jodhpur for additional medical treatment. Reports indicate that Ramsingh suffered serious injuries from the accident.

The camel remained trapped inside the car for approximately two hours until local authorities, assisted by community members, managed to free it. A JCB machine was deployed to cut open the vehicle and safely remove the camel.

The animal escaped the ordeal with minor injuries and immediately fled once released.
