Quick-Thinking Wedding Videographer Uses Drone to Chase Groom's Attacker in Maharashtra

A wedding in Maharashtra's Amravati turned chaotic when a guest stabbed the groom on stage, leading to a remarkable two-kilometer drone chase by the quick-thinking videographer. The drone footage helped police identify the attacker, who had fled following a minor altercation during DJ dancing. The 22-year-old groom is currently undergoing treatment while authorities continue their search for the suspect.

Panic erupted at a wedding venue when the videographer rapidly directed his drone away from the stage to pursue a man who had stabbed the groom.

The shocking incident took place on Monday during a wedding ceremony in Maharashtra's Amravati where the suspect, identified as Ragho Jitendra Bakshi, stabbed the groom three times while on stage before fleeing the scene.

Thinking quickly, the wedding videographer utilized his drone to chase after the attacker. The aerial pursuit continued for approximately two kilometers as the attacker and an accomplice attempted to escape on a motorcycle.

Law enforcement officials confiscated the drone footage and used it to confirm the suspect's identity and determine the escape route taken after the attack. Preliminary investigations revealed that the violent assault stemmed from a minor altercation during DJ dancing, which had apparently enraged the accused. Police are currently searching for the suspect.

The groom, 22-year-old Sajal Ram Samudra, is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries.
