Five high-achieving students from a Government Higher Secondary School in Rajasthan were rewarded with an air trip to Diu-Daman after scoring over 90% in their Class 12 board examinations.

None of these students had ever experienced air travel before this special reward.
What makes this gesture particularly remarkable is that the entire trip was personally funded by the school's principal Shankarlal Jat and teacher Ajay Kumar, rather than being sponsored by the government or any non-governmental organization.
The educators had made a promise during the academic year that any student achieving a score of 90% or higher would be taken on a flight journey.
Following through on their commitment after the results were announced, the teachers organized and completely financed the journey. The air travel from Nandrai village in Bhilwara to Diu-Daman exceeded Rs 1.5 lakh in cost, which both educators paid from their own savings.
This motivational initiative showed significant results in both academic performance and school discipline. Among the 52 students in Class 12, 48 achieved first division with scores above 70% - a remarkable improvement for a school that had previously struggled to produce such impressive results.
Prior to this air travel reward, the teachers had implemented other motivational strategies, including presenting silver coins and recognizing high-performing students during school assemblies.
What initially began as an encouraging announcement made during a prayer meeting transformed into an actual journey for five dedicated students, creating a source of pride for both the educational institution and the entire village.
In a context where rural government schools are often associated more with challenges than successes, the dedication shown by these two educators stands as an exceptional example.
