A suicide blast near Delhi's Red Fort metro station claimed nine lives including 35-year-old Jumman Mohammed and 22-year-old Pankaj Saini, both sole breadwinners for their families. Delhi Blast Victim Supported Family Of 4, Sister's Kids

"Today, he is gone," lamented a relative of 35-year-old Jumman Mohammed at the mortuary where his body lay alongside eight others who perished in Monday's suicide blast in Delhi.

According to Mohammed's uncle who spoke to NDTV, the deceased was the primary breadwinner supporting his wife and three sons. Additionally, his earnings from operating an e-rickshaw in the Chandni Chowk area helped provide for his sister and her children.

The uncle revealed that Mohammed's body was found dismembered but was identified by his wife. DNA testing was subsequently conducted to confirm his identity.

In the same mortuary was the body of 22-year-old Pankaj Saini, a cab driver who was also his family's sole provider. His father stated, "Pankaj had just dropped off a passenger at Chandni Chowk and was on duty when this tragedy occurred. We seek justice from the government and hope it will be delivered."

Of the nine fatalities in the car explosion outside the Red Fort metro station, seven have been identified. These include Delhi bus conductor Ashok Kumar, cosmetic shop owner Noman, and Uttar Pradesh residents Mohsin, Lokesh Gupta, and Dinesh Kumar Mishra. Two victims remain unidentified.

The National Investigation Agency, India's premier anti-terrorism organization, has assumed responsibility for investigating the blast that has shocked the nation.

The devastating explosion near the Red Fort occurred shortly after authorities recovered approximately 2,900 kilograms of explosives in Faridabad.
